Zoe Wong

Founder and Special Advisor

Zoe loves spending time with her family and being with her friends. She also volunteers with her mother at Kids’ Meals and Today’s Harbor for Children. When she was five, Zoe was selected by Asians Against Domestic Abuse (AADA) as their Rising Star Honoree. In 2023, Zoe, along with her younger sister, Elly, was honored as a Junior Star at Ars Lyrica Houston’s Gems, Charms, and Treasures Gala.

 

Zoe also likes participating in writing competitions. In May 2021, she entered the From Fear to Hope contest and was one of the five winners. This year, she was a winner in the iWRITE writing competition for her short story submission, Escape the Dragon.

 

Zoe started Girl Chess Power and Beyond to give girls more opportunities to play chess. Zoe understands that the strategic thinking and knowledge she gains from chess can help us all in our daily lives, and she wants to give that benefit to other girls so they can be better prepared for the future. She also thinks chess is a lot of fun and wants to share that fun with others.
